Meeting with the CEC delegation of Kazakhstan at the Central Election Commission

The delegation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with Mr. Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman at the Central Election Commission on November 24, 2017.
Having greeted the visitors, Mr. Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman expressed his appreciation of the cooperation between the supreme election institutions of the two countries, which is being promoted every year. Meanwhile, Chairman also emphasized the role of this relationship in the stable exchange of experiences and improvement of the election practice.
Mr. Konstantin Petrov, CEC Deputy Chairman of the Republic of Kazakhstan thanked for warm welcome and enquired about the works undertaken for the current development of the election system in Azerbaijan upon the usage of the latest information and communication technologies. He also underlined the utmost importance of studying this successful experience.
Mr. Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman replied to the questions of the delegation, informed on the election system in the country and the projects carried out for further improvement of the election legislation. He also informed the visitors on the best lessons learnt during previous years in the country and stated that an inclusive atmosphere exists in the country to hold free, fair and transparent elections.
During the meeting the delegation also visited the CEC Information Centre. The visitors were informed thoroughly on the broad opportunities of the improved network version of the system and relevant software to ensure transparency of the procedures in elections, therewith the questions interesting to them were responded at the Centre.
Later, the CEC delegation of Kazakhstan visited some election constituencies in Baku and get familiar with the working conditions, also practical activity of the commission members and Con.EC secretaries and relevant legal framework.
