On October 12, 2016 Mr. Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman met with Mr. Michael Link, Director of OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. 

Having greeted the visitor, CEC Chairman highly appraised the initiative of meeting. 

Director of OSCE/ODIHR thanked Mr. Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman for the warm welcome, thereby informing on their intend to continue and further develop mutual fruitful cooperation with the Central Election Commission and noting that such meetings contributed to the reinforcement of the relationship. 

Mr. Mazahir Panahov stated that the Central Election Commission had always been open to the partnership with international organizations and that relationship played an important role in further development of the election practice, gaining the improvements and best experiences. The current inclusive and democratic atmosphere also facilitated the conduct of free, fair and transparent elections in Azerbaijan. 

During the meeting Mr. Michael Link expressed his gratitude of personally inviting Chairman Mr. Mazahir Panahov to the event on the election issues to be held in Vienna in November this year. 

At the meeting they discussed the partnership between the organizations and shared opinions on mutually interesting issues.
