The Central Election Commission (CEC) conducted the next session chaired by Mr.Mazahir Panahov on August 17, 2016. Firstly, the session minute of the Commission, dated August 4, 2016 was approved.

Later, concerning the implementation of the Section on election commissions of the "National Activity Program for the increase of the efficiency of protecting human rights and freedoms in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, approved by the Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated December 27, 2011, the arrangement of new educational activities for all members of the re-established Con.ECs and chairmen of PECs to further improve the organization of nationwide voting (referendum) appointed to September 26, 2016 was also considered. In accordance with a training program compiled upon the discussion of the Commission members, it was decided to hold a seminar for the chairmen of Con.ECs in Baku on August 18, 2016 and professional courses on election right for secretaries, members of Con.ECs and chairmen of PECs on August 22-24, 2016.

During the session the issue on the registration of "New Azerbaijan” referendum campaign group in nationwide voting (referendum) on September 26, 2016 was considered and the foregoing campaign group was registered by the Commission decision upon the discussions of the CEC members.

Current issues were also considered at the session attended by the representatives of mass media.
