Central Election Commission starts the process of printing ballot papers for referendum
Printing
of ballot-papers for nationwide voting (referendum) appointed to September 26,
2016 to make changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan started at
the Press of the Milli Majlis.
Mr.Mazahir
Panahov Chairman of Central Election Commission and Commission members participated
at the event and made themselves familiar with the process of printing ballot
papers. Having spoken on the process widely enlightened by mass media, Chairman
Mazahir Panahov noted that regarding the referendum, the requirements on text,
form, number and preparation rules of ballot papers were determined by Central
Election Commission and decision was made on printing of 5280924 (five million
two hundred eighty thousand nine hundred twenty four) ballot-papers. Printed
ballot papers shall be issued from Central Election Commission to Constituency
Election Commissions and from Constituency Election Commissions to Precinct
Election Commissions within terms and rules defined with legislation.
The
security of the printing process of ballot papers is implemented by Special
State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
