The delegation led by Zenonas Vaigauskas, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Lithuania who are on official visit in the Republic of Azerbaijan to monitor the Elections to the fifth-call Milli Majlis met with Chairman Mazahir Panahov on October 30, 2015.

Upon welcoming his partner, CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov expressed his gratitude of the close developing cooperation between superior election institutes of these two countries. Chairman also underlined that inter-organizational relations and mutual experience exchange played an important role in further improvement of election experience.

Zenonas Vaigauskas, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus thanked both for the invitation and warm welcome, also was interested in the latest preparation works towards the Elections to the Milli Majlis on November 1, 2015. CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov informed on the wide-scale projects carried out to conduct free, fair and transparent elections and replied to the visitors’ questions.

During the meeting they also shared ideas on the perspectives to develop the partnership between the organizations further and other issues of mutual interest.
