The delegation of OSCE/ODIHR Needs Assessment Mission met with Mr.Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission on August 12, 2015.

Having greeted the visitors, CEC Chairman expressed his gratitude for the meeting and emphasized on the importance of relationship between international organizations and the organization led by him, thereby stressing an essential role of the relationship in the existent potentiality of electoral system and the improvements achieved and also informing on his purpose to continue bilateral successful cooperation in the field of elections in future.

The visitors thanked for warm welcome and by underlining long-term history of efficient partnership with CEC, they were interested in the activities to be undertaken concerning the Elections to the Milli Majlis. The Chairman of the Commission replied to the visitors’ questions and informed on the events implemented for the preparations towards the elections, steps to be put for ensuring election rights of citizens effectively and the projects planned.

During the meeting the sides also shared their opinions on the issues of mutual interest.
