Central Election Commission started the printing process of ballot papers for Municipal Elections

The printing process of ballot papers started at the Press of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the Municipal elections on December 23, 2014.

Mr.Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman and Commission members were made familiar with the printing process of ballot papers. Informing on the process that is publicized by mass media, CEC Chairman stated that the format, number and preparation rules of ballot papers have been defined by the CEC decision. Thus, totally 4976302 (four million nine hundred and seventy six thousand three hundred and two) ballot papers, separately for each municipality out of 1607 municipalities where elections will be conducted are planned to be published.

The ballot papers have already started to be printed on the municipalities where the registration stage of candidates ended. Pursuant to the Election Code, ballot papers shall be prepared at least 10 days prior to the voting day and afterwards, provided to Con.ECs by CEC at least 5 days and to PECs by Con.ECs at least 3 days prior to the voting day.

It is worth noting that security of the printing process of ballot papers is ensured by Special State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
