The observation mission of the Pakistani parliament hailed the presidential elections in Azerbaijan and congratulated Ilham Aliyev on his landslide victory, the head of the Pakistan`s observation mission, senator Mushahid Hussain Sayyed said.

Azerbaijan is an island of development and prosperity, he noted. According to the head of the mission comprised of representatives of the six Pakistani parties, the elections were almost in full compliance with the legislation of the country and observers did not notice any serious irregularities.

He also expressed full support to Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute.
