Cooperation between the Central Election Commissions has positive impact on development of friendship between two countries
Baku, October 8. The cooperation between the Central Election Commissions has positive impact on the further expansion and strengthening of friendship between the two countries.
The Independent Press Center informs that it was said at the meeting between chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov and the Chairman of Ukraine's Central Election Commission Mikhail Okhendovskyy, who is in Baku to observe presidential election to be held on October 9.
Mazahir Panahov briefed the Ukrainian counterpart on the progress achieved to conduct democratic, free and transparent elections as well as on the projects intended to be implemented in the future. Mikhail Okhendovskyy expressed his gratitude to M. Panahov for inviting him to Baku. He highly appreciated election-related preparatory actions put in place by the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The importance of experience exchange between the election commissions for the conduct of democratic, free and fair elections was underlined at the meeting.
