The Press Council is continuing monitoring of the October 9 presidential elections on the ground. The members of the Council`s Board will be carrying out monitoring in the regions and cities of the country and remote polling stations on the election day, Chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov said at the Independent Press Center.

Amashov noted that the Press Council would put respective measures in place to solve immediately the problems journalists may face in their professional activities.

Amashov pointed out that the Press Council is going to benefit from the activity of the Independent Press Center. Therefore, the Press Council and the Independent Press Center, according to him, will be working together.

Amashov noted that the Press Council will launch the hotline on the voting day.
