Independent Press Center was established for ensuring wide, operative and fair publicize and transparency in the Presidential elections to be held on October 9, 2013. The Center started to function on October 2, 2013.

Mr.Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman of the Republic of Azerbaijan took part at the opening of the Center and stated that the practice of establishing Independent Press Center is applied in the developed countries.

Independent Press Center has been supplied with the equipment of high standards. All the facilities are provided in the Center for the activity of journalists, international and domestic observers.

The Center is open for the conduct of press conferences in all levels and providing statements. Candidates may post their brochures and informational materials in the Center.
