Members of CIS Election Observation Mission Vladimir Gorkun and Yevgeni Sloboda met with CEC Chairman Mazahir Pahanov on September 10, 2013.

Greeting the visitors and emphasizing the importance of observation institution in transparency of elections, CEC Chairman expressed his honor to welcome the mission members in Azerbaijan.

Member of the observation mission V.Gorkun stated that the delegation of CIS Election Observation Mission of 20 persons will arrive in Azerbaijan. The mission will also include 300 short-term observers. He inquired about the activities implemented for the preparation and conduct of the elections and took an interest in the projects scheduled for future.

The visitors were informed thoroughly on the measures and activities planned for the preparation and conduct of the Presidential elections on October 9, 2013.
