On August 31, 2013, Central Election Commission conducted its next session under the chairmanship of Mr. Mazahir Panahov.

Firstly, session minute dated 29 August 2013 by the Commission was approved.

Later, the issue on approving the candidacy of Rauf zakir oghlu Guliyev nominated on his own initiative in Presidential elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 9 October 2013 was considered. CEC approved the candidacy of Rauf Guliyev and Alirza Karimli was registered as his authorized representative.

At the session, the candidacy of Hidayet Asraf oghlu Rustambeyli nominated on his own initiative was approved.

The Commission approved the candidacy of Serdar Jalal oghlu Mammadov nominated by Azerbaijan Democratic Party and made decision on the registration of 4 persons appointed by the party as authorized representatives and one person as an authorized representative on financial issues.

Central Election Commission registered 20 persons appointed by "National Council of Democratic forces” voters’ initiative group as authorized representatives of Jamil Hasanli whose candidacy had been approved.

At the session, current issues were also considered.

At the CEC session, representatives of international organizations and mass media also took part.
