Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on October 9, 2006.

Firstly, the appeals entered CEC related to the repeat, by, first-time (newly established municipalities) elections to some municipalities conducted on October 6, 2006 in the Republic of Azerbaijan. CEC Commissioners reported on the appeals investigated by them. Decision was adopted on sending three of the appeals to the relevant Constituency Election Commission on their determination to be investigated. The investigation of the another appeal will be continued till next session.

At the session, current issues were also considered.

At the CEC session, representatives of mass media also took part.
