Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on October 13, 2004.

Firstly, Mrs. Svetlana Gasimova, CEC Deputy Chairman and Mr. Vidadi Mahmudov, CEC Secretary reported to make amendments in the composition of some Constituency Election Commissions (Con.ECs). CEC adopted decision in the composition Binagadi second Con.EC # 9, Yasamal Con.EC # 15, Yasamal – Sabail # 18, Narimanov first Con.EC # 19, Nasimi second Con.EC # 22, Khatai fourth Con.EC # 36, Mingachevir Con.EC # 47, Shamkir city Con.EC # 98, Zagatala – Balaken Con.EC # 111 and Shaki – Oghuz Con.EC # 115.

Later, Mr. Natig Mammadov, CEC Secretary reported on the applies entered CEC related to the Municipal Elections appointed on December 17, 2004. The Commission adopted decisions on the positive solution of the issues included in these applies.

At the session, current were also considered.

Representatives of IFES (International Foundation for Election Systems), domestic and foreign mass media participated in the CEC session.
