On August 11, Ambassador Mr. Ali Bilge Cankorel, head of OSCE Baku office met with Chairman Mr.

 

Mazahir Panahov at the Central Election Commission. At the meeting, exchange of opinions on the cooperation between the Central Election Commission and OSCE was held relating the forthcoming elections.

 

CEC Chairman informed on the ongoing program of educating voters, members of lower election commissions and other persons to participate in the election process and drew the attention to the further intensification of the activities to be undertaken in this field since the second term of August.

 

 He stated that during the above-mentioned period, the education programs will be broadcasted in TV relating election right and the materials of this kind will be published in periodicals. Furthermore, professional courses on election right are going to be organized for the members of Constituency and Precinct Election

 

Commissions in accordance with the Order of Mr. President "on the approval of National Activity Plan on the protection of human rights in the Republic of Azerbaijan” in recent days.

 

At the meeting, discussions on the activities to be taken jointly with OSCE Baku office were also conducted.
