Mr. Carolin Brown, extraordinary and authorized ambassador of Great Britain to our country met with Mr.
Mazahir Panahov, chairman of the Central Election Commission on 17 September, 2010.
 
At the meeting, view exchange on the cooperation between the Central Election Commission and embassy of Great Britain was conducted related with the forthcoming elections.
 
CEC Chairman provided detailed information on the process of preparations to elections and spoke about the works to be implemented.
 
The ambassador who informed on the fact that the countries newly gained independence have to form the system established by other countries for centuries in short period of time, emphasized on his observation of positive practice related with this.
 
He expressed gratitude of  the development in Azerbaijan and noted that Great Britain supports our country.
 
The ambassador expressed satisfaction of the steps put forward by the Central Election Commission.
 
At the meeting, the future perspectives of the cooperation between the Central Election Commission and embassy of Great Britain were discussed.
