Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session on January 15, 2007.

CEC Chairman reminded of the duties put upon CEC in the order "On the approval of Plan for National Activity on Protection of Human Rights in the Republic of Azerbaijan” and stated that the administration of the organization have already begun relevant discussions concerning the above-mentioned document. Common opinion of CEC Commissioners was the fact that Working Group shall be established for the preparation of concrete suggestions related to the execution of the duties rooted from the above-mentioned order.

Later, session minutes adopted by the Commission, dated on October 25 and October 30, 2006 were approved.

CEC also adopted decision on making amendments in the composition of some Con.ECs.

CEC also considered current issues.

At he CEC session, representatives of mass media also took part.
