Members of OSCE Bureau of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights led by Mr. Boris Frlets met with Mr. Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman on September 2, 2008. CEC Chairman who welcomed the visitors stated that the Commission pays special attention to the activity of observers from the view of estimating electoral results and expresses his gratitude to meet OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission in Azerbaijan.

Mr. Boris Frlets, Head of the mission thanked for sincere receive and stated that they will conduct observation of both pre-election and on the voting day atmosphere. He asked CEC Chairman to give detailed information on the activities implemented relating to the preparation of Presidential Elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan dated on October 15, 2008 and inquired about education program of CEC, principles of observation in Azerbaijan and other issues.

Mr. M.Panahov informed about the activity of the Commission related to the preparation and conduct of elections, actions undertaken and replied to the questions of the visitors.
