Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan is planning to organize training -seminar for the lawyers working at the secretariats of lower election commissions. The topics those are going to be covered at the training will be legal basis for the activity of election commissions, preparing issued to be discussed in a meetings of election commission, providing the conformity of adopted decisions with the legislation, international experience on the consideration of complaints and appeals and requirements of the Law on Civil Servants of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Representatives of IFES will also participate at the training as reporters.

The training will take place in the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan at 11.00 a.m. May 30, 2008. Representatives of international and foreign institutions are welcomed to attend the meeting. Registration of participants will start at 10.30 a.m.
