On 21 July, 2010 Mrs. Laura Juit, director Eurasia of National Democracy Institute (the USA) and Mr.
Alex Grigoriyevs, director on Azerbaijan met with Mr. Mazahir Panahov, chairman at the Central Election
Commission. CEC Chairman expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the Commission with international organizations. By reminding that the organization represented by Mrs. Laura Juit has functioned in
Azerbaijan since 1995 and since 1998 it has cooperated with CEC, she expressed her proud for this.
She informed of her sureness of successful conduct of the forthcoming elections and was interested in the activities held by CEC in the field of the preparations to elections.
Chairman informed on the preparations to the Elections to the Milli Majlis and stated that it will be conducted freely, fairly and pursuant to election legislation.
At the meeting, view opinions were held on the perspectives of the future cooperation between Central Election Commission and National Democracy Institute.
