Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session. Report of Mr. Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman, on the approval of ID card sample for the registered candidate to presidency related to the Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan was heard. After the discussion of the document, it was approved by considering certain suggestions.
Mrs. Svetlana Gasimova, CEC Deputy Chairman reported on the approval of persons nominated by commissioners representing political parties whose deputies elected on multi-mandate constituencies constitute majority in the Milli Majlis, Mr. Asef Mahmudov, CEC Commissioner on the approval of persons nominated by commissioners representing political parties whose deputies elected on multi-mandate constituencies constitute minority in the Milli Majlis, Mr. Vidadi Mahmudov, CEC Secretary on the approval of persons nominated to membership of election commission by commisioners representing non-represented 4 political parties that gained most of votes in the elections on single multi-mandate constituency. The Commission decided to approve unanimously these issues.
Later, Mr. Ingilab Nasirov, CEC Secretary reported on the approval of the candidacy of Mr. Huseyn Shadman Bahlul oghlu nominated by "Vatan” voters initiative group and informed on conformity of all documents with requirements of Election Code.
The Commission heard the report of Mr. Ingilab Nasirov, CEC Secretary on the approval of the candidacy of Musa Davud oghlu Tukanov. He brought inconformity of the documents submitted to CEC with requirements of Election Code into the attention of session participants. The Commission decided not to approve the candidacy of Musa Davud oghlu Tukanov.
Representatives of IFES (International Foundation for Election Systems), Japan, the USA, Turkey, Israil embassies, as well as domestic and foreign mass media participated at the session.
