The next seminar conference dedicated to the service activity of the police during the elections was held in Shirvan
In connection with the municipal elections scheduled for January 29, 2025, the next seminar conference was held in the city of Shirvan within the framework of the joint project of the Central Election Commission with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The meeting held at the Shirvan City Youth Center was dedicated to the service activities of the police in the municipal elections. Representatives of the Central Election Commission and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, chairmen of constituency election commissions, representatives of police departments and departments took part in the seminar conference.
Fuad Javadov, a member of the Central Election Commission, and Fuzuli Ahmadov, the head of the Shirvan City Police Department, made opening speeches at the meeting. The roles and duties of police officers defined by legislation in the preparation and holding of municipal elections, during the pre-election campaign period, as well as on the voting day and subsequent processes were discussed.
Rashid Yusifbeyli, head of the International Relations Department of the Central Election Commission Secretariat, spoke at the event on the subject of election subjects, their rights and duties, and the inadmissibility of illegal interference in the activities of election subjects. On the eve of the elections, special attention was paid to educational activities. The importance of the held regional seminars and consultations was also discussed.
Then Sanan Aliyev, head of department at the Chief Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the election campaign period and on the day of the elections informed about the rights and duties of police officers regarding the maintenance of public order, security measures during the delivery of ballot papers and other election documents to the constituency and the Central Election Commission in the post-election period. Then the questions of the meeting participants were answered.
Mutual opinions were exchanged about the final results of the event.
