In connection with the municipal elections scheduled for January 29, within the framework of the joint project of the Central Election Commission (CEC) with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at the regional seminar conference held on January 17 in Sheki city, the issues related to the service activities of the police in the elections were discussed in detail.

The representatives of the CEC and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the chairmen of the district election commissions for the constituencies operating in the north-western region of our country, as well as in the surrounding cities and regions, and the responsible employees of the city and regional police departments took part in the seminar conference.

The event started with the opening speeches of the head of Sheki Sheher District Police Department, Colonel Elnur Hasanov and the head of the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission, Ilgar Alizade.

It was stated that exemplary performance of the tasks set before the internal affairs bodies is of particular importance in order to hold the municipal elections in conditions of stability and peace. Reliable protection of public order is one of the important factors in conducting elections in safe and democratic conditions in accordance with the requirements of the country's legislation, and in the free and free expression of citizens' will on election day.

Then Gabil Orujov, a member of the CEC, said, "Election subjects, their rights and duties. He made a presentation on "Inadmissibility of illegal interference in the activities of election subjects". It was reported that CEC pays special attention to educational activities on the eve of municipal elections. It has been brought to attention that all the issues raised by the representatives of the constituency and precinct election commissions regarding the activity of the police will be resolved promptly. All necessary measures will be taken to ensure the security of the constituencies and polling stations where the ballots are kept, before the voting, when the ballots are brought from the Central Election Commission to the constituency election commissions and from there to the polling stations, and after the election from the polling stations to the district election commissions and from there to the Central Election Commission.
