The Central Election Commission (CEC) is carrying out large-scale campaign in a subsequent, systematic and intensive way to raise awareness of different election stakeholders regarding the high-level preparation and free, fair and transparent conduct of the Municipal elections, appointed to January 29, 2025.

From January 17, 2025, CEC started an important project – trainings for lower election commission members. To this end, CEC Training Group has compiled a training project in two stages of full practical workshops. The first stage of “Training of Trainers” for two days involved in total 236 local trainers, 2 persons from each of the 118 election constituencies. The participants obtain detailed and thorough information on preparations in PECs for the voting, the voting process, exceptional cases in the election process, vote counting, completion of official protocols on the voting results and all E-day procedures at the trainings, therewith, in the different topics are broadly discussed and the emerged questions are responded to.

The second stage of the training project scheduled for all members of Precinct Election Commissions will start from January 19, 2025 and last for several days according to the number of PECs of the election constituencies. This stage of the trainings are planned to be conducted in small groups in accordance with the schedule compiled by the CEC Training Group to make the process more effective.

During the trainings, each member of the lower election commissions will be provided with "Election Day Guide” compiled by CEC, which contains all the relevant procedures, as well as, a protocol sample on the voting results, other visual and methodical aids.

The training project of considerable large-scale educational event embodies almost, all members of the Precinct Election Commissions where the Municipal elections are held.

It should be noted that the foundation of the training project which was set within the cooperation with different competent international organizations and carried out in all elections of the country, so far, plays an essential role in further improvement of professional skills of members of Constituency and Precinct Election Commissions (Con.ECs and PECs).
