Regional seminar conferences dedicated to the service activity of the police in Municipal Elections started
Different projects are being carried out in various fields to ensure effective preparation, free, fair and transparent conduct of the Municipal elections appointed to January 29, 2025 in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as the awareness-raising of election stakeholders with different status.
In accordance with the large-scale program, regional seminar conferences have been launched within the framework of a joint project of the Central Election Commission and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the first event was organized on January 14, 2025 at the Baku City Main Police Department with the participation of representatives of the Central Election Commission and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The foregoing project dedicated to the police service activities involves the chairpersons of the Constituency Election Commissions (Con.ECs) where the Municipal elections will be held and representatives of the police institutions.
During the seminars the members of the Central Election Commission, employees of the Commission Secretariat and representatives of the relevant institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will hold presentations, speeches will be heard and discussions will be held about the roles and duties of police officials as defined by legislation during the preparation and conduct of the Municipal elections, the pre-election campaign period, as well as on the voting day and the subsequent processes.
At the next stage, the project rooted from close inter-organizational partnership will be held in Ganja on January 16, in Shaki on January 17, in Shirvan on January 18 and in Nakhchivan on January 21, 2025 with the participation of the Con.EC chairpersons and representatives of the police institutions.
It should be noted for information that in connection with the Municipal elections, the Central Election Commission together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs compiled and delivered "Guide for Police Officials".
