The Central Election Commission (CEC) held the next session chaired by Mr.Mazahir Panahov on January 8, 2025. Firstly, the Commission session minute dated 6 January 2025 was approved.

Later, the approval of a member with consultative right appointed to CEC by the New Azerbaijan Party in the Municipal Elections, scheduled for January 29, 2025 was decided upon.

During the session the appeals filed to CEC in regard with the Municipal elections were examined. Relevant decisions were adopted regarding the appeals investigated in inclusive and fair manner to ensure citizens’ election rights more effectively as a result of the Commission members’ broad discussion with the participation of the representatives of the media outlets.

Detailed information was provided on the processes ongoing in accordance with the requirements of legislation in the field of preparations for the Municipal Elections and statistic data on various issues were emphasized, therewith, current issues were also considered at the CEC session.
