The next session of the Central Election Commission was held on December 9, 2024 under the chairmanship of Mazahir Panahov. First, the session protocol of the Commission on December 2, 2024 was approved.

Later, the issue of establishing polling stations for some constituencies was considered. In connection with the dynamics of the increase in the number of voters, the Commission decided to create new polling stations within the boundaries of Sharur-Sadarak Con.EC # 1 and Sabirabad-Shirvan Con.EC # 68 and to organize precinct election commissions by taking into account the need to provide maximum favorable conditions for voters, as well as local and other conditions.

During the session the issue on registration of authorized representatives of the New Azerbaijan Party, Azerbaijan National Independence Party, Great Organization Party, Democratic Reforms Party and Azerbaijan Hope Party in regard with the Municipal elections scheduled for January 29, 2025 was considered. The CEC members were informed about each political party's application to the CEC and the persons presented by the foregoing political parties were registered as authorized representatives.

The structures of some Constituency Election Commissions were also made and current issues were discussed at the session broadly covered by the media outlets.
