Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on October 5, 2005.

Firstly, Mr. Natig Maammadov, CEC Secretary reported on the approval of "List of documents approving identity of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and persons without citizenship, having right to participate in Elections to the Milli Majlis”. CEC adopted decision on the approval of this List.

Mr. Vidadi Mahmudov, another CEC Secretary reported on the draft of "Rules for issuing notifications to voters in order to inform voters about the place and time of the conduct of Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan”. CEC adopted decision on the approval of this document, too.

Later, CEC approved "Regulation on the Secretariat of Constituency Election Commission” and "Instruction on the working rule for Precinct Election Commissions on the voting day”.

The Commission adopted decisions on making amendments in the composition of some Constituency Election Commissions.

Applies entered CEC were also discussed and relevant decisions were adopted.
At the session, current issues were also considered.

At the CEC session, experts of OSCE/ODIHR, representatives of IFES (International Foundation for Election Systems) and mass media also took part.
