The delegation of the Central Election Commission will observe the Parliamentary Elections of Uzbekistan
The delegation headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan left for Uzbekistan Republic.
The main purpose of the visit, which was carried out at the invitation of the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan, Zayniddin Nizamkhojayev, is to monitor the elections to the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Uzbekistan on October 27, 2024.
In accordance with the visit program, bilateral meetings of the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan with his Uzbek counterpart, as well as heads of organizations involved in election observation and election management bodies of foreign countries are planned. During the meetings, it is planned to discuss the development prospects of inter-institutional relations, new opportunities for cooperation in various fields related to the elections, and issues of mutual interest.
It should be noted that the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan is also represented in various international organizations in observing the elections to the Supreme Assembly of Uzbekistan. Thus, other representatives of the Commission participated in the monitoring of the mentioned elections as international observers within the Organization of Turkic States and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The representatives of the Central Election Commission will observe polling stations located in the capital city of Tashkent and in the regions on the day of voting.
