Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on September 29, 2005.

Firstly, the issue on the approval of the emblem of "Azadlig” political party bloc related to Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan to be conducted on November 6, 2005. The Commission approved the emblem of this bloc.

Later, the issue on making amendments in the composition of some Con.ECs was put into discussion. CEC adopted decisions on making amendments in the composition of Sabail Con.EC # 29, Ali Bayramli Con.EC # 46, Jalilabad-Masalli-Bilasuvar Con.EC # 69 and Ismayilli Con.EC # 86.

At the session, decision was adopted on making specifications within the borders of some constituencies.
Appeals entered the Commission were put into discussion, 16 of the applies were sent to the relevant Con.EC for preliminary investigation and informing CEC about them. Decision was adopted on sending 3 of the applies to the Ministry of Interior Affairs.

CEC considered current issues.

At the CEC session, experts of OSCE/ODIHR, representatives of IFES (International Foundation for Election Sysytems) and mass media also took part.
