The Central Election Commission (CEC) conducted the next session chaired by Mr.Mazahir Panahov on August 27, 2024. Firstly, the Commission’s session minute dated 22 August, 2024 was approved.

Later, the issue on placing the information about the registered candidate for the Zangilan-Gubadli Con.EC # 125 on the information boards of the Precinct Election Commissions of the electoral constituency in the early Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, appointed to September 1, 2024 was considered. It was reported that Nasiman Gara Yagublu, registered candidate for the foregoing constituency died as a result of a traffic accident on August 25, 2024. Meanwhile, it was also informed that the ballot papers were printed and delivered to the Constituency Election Commissions within the period stipulated by the legislation. According to the requirements of the Election Code, the Central Election Commission decided to place relevant information on the above-mentioned data on the information board of the Precinct Election Commissions of the electoral constituency and the implementation of the decision was entrusted to Zangilan-Gubadli Con.EC # 125.

The appeal filed to CEC regarding the forthcoming elections was also examined at the session. As a result of broad discussion by the Commission members with the direct participation of the representatives of international observation mission, media outlets and interested subjects, relevant decision was adopted as implied in the legislation in regard with the appeal to ensure citizens’ election rights more effectively.
