The Central Election Commission (CEC) conducted the next session chaired by Mr.Mazahir Panahov on August 12, 2024.

Firstly, the appeals addressed by Citizens’ Labor Rights Protection League and “Progress” Social Research Public Union for holding "exit poll” joint with their foreign partners in the early Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, appointed to September 1, 2024 were reviewed. Following informing the Commission members and session participants on the issue and broad discussion, a decision was adopted on the implementation of the appeals and registration of the above-mentioned organizations for holding "exit poll” in the Elections to the Milli Majlis.

The appeals filed to CEC regarding the forthcoming elections were also considered at the session. As a result of thorough discussion by the Commission members with the direct participation of the representatives of international observation mission, media outlets and interested subjects, relevant decisions were adopted as implied in the legislation in regard with the appeals investigated inclusively and efficiently to ensure citizens’ election rights more effectively.

Current issues were also reviewed at the end of the session.
