Within the framework of the joint project of the Central Election Commission with the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the early Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed to September 1, 2024, regional seminars conferences have been started since July 24, 2024.

The first event was organized today at the Baku City Main Police Department with the participation of representatives of the Central Election Commission and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The participation of chairmen of Constituency Election Commissions (Con.ECs) and representatives of police bodies in all constituencies across the country is planned for the seminar conferences dedicated to the service activities of police officials in the Elections to the Milli Majlis.

At the events, the members of the Central Election Commission, employees of the Commission Secretariat and representatives of the relevant institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will hold presentations, speeches will be heard and discussions will be held about the roles and duties of police officials as defined by legislation during the preparation and conduct of the Elections to the Milli Majlis, the pre-election campaign period, as well as on the voting day and the subsequent processes.

At the next stage, educational and informative seminar conferences will be held in Ganja on July 25, in Shaki on July 26, in Shirvan on July 29 and in Nakhchivan on July 30, 2024.

It should be noted that in connection with the Elections to the Milli Majlis, the Central Election Commission together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs compiled and delivered "Guide for Police Officials".
