Central Election Commission conducted its session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on 2 March 2009.

Later, Mr. Natig Mammadov, CEC Secretary reported on the application of usage practice of "web-cameras” in the precincts during the voting process in referendum appointed to 18 March 2009.
CEC decided that the usage practice of web-cameras shall be applied in the polling stations in the voting process during popular vote (referendum) appointed to 18 March 2009 and web-cameras shall be installed in 500 election (referendum) precincts within the Republic of Azerbaijan.
CEC made amendments in the compositions of Nasimi first Con.EC # 21 and Barda city Con.EC # 93.
At the session, current issues were also considered.
At the CEC session, representatives of OSCE Baku office, International Republicans Institute, National Democracy Institute, International Foundation for Election Systems (the USA) and mass media also took part.
