Central Election Commission conducted a session on February 19, 2020
The Central Election Commission (CEC)
conducted the following session chaired by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on February 19,
2020.Firstly, the session minute of the Commission, dated February 10, 2020 was
approved.
During the session CEC
reviewed the appeals filed in connection with the Elections to the Milli Majlis,
dated February 9, 2020with the participation of the interested stakeholders and
plaintiffs.The Commission displayed the additional views submitted
directly during the session and adopted relevant decisions in compliance with
the election legislation after discussions, remaining faith to its firm stand
in the process of inclusive, broad and transparent investigation.
Basing on the
impossibility of determining voters’ will and the cases contrary to the
election legislation as a result of investigating the information from
different resources and appeals, the voting results on the PECs # 1, 12, 14, 16
and 18 of Surakhani first Con.EC # 30, PECs # 9, 17 and 21of MingachevirCon.EC # 47, as well as, PECs # 6 and 7 of Aghdash Con.EC # 90
were annulled.
Current issues were also
considered at the session attended by representatives of international
observation missions, foreign organizations and mass media.
