Central Election Commission conducted a session on February 13, 2020
The Central Election Commission (CEC)
conducted the following session chaired by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on February 13,
2020. Firstly, the session minutes of the Commission, dated January 31 and
February 1, 2020 were approved.
Later, an appeal filed to CEC by the OSCE
Office for Democratic Organizations and Human Rights regarding the cancel of
the accreditation of an international observer represented in that organization
in the Elections to the Milli Majlis on February 9, 2020 was considered and upon
implementing the appeal, the accreditation of the international observer was
canceled and a card provided was regarded invalid.
During the
session the Elections to the Milli Majlis were regarded
invalid on Imishli-Beylagan Con.EC # 80, Khatai third Con.EC # 35, Lankaran
village Con.EC # 74 and Khatai first Con.EC # 33 basing on the results of
investigation of the appealsfiled to CEC and information entered the hotline by different
sources- voters or social pages in
connection with the Elections to the MilliMajlis, dated February 9,
2020.The relevant decisions were made after an inclusive discussion of other receivedappeals
at the Commissions session.
Current issues were also
considered at the session attended by representatives of international election
observation missions and mass media.
