On December 22, 2019 Mr. Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) met with Mr. Oleg Didenko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine who is to participate in the observation of the Municipal Elections in the country.

Having greeted the visitors, CEC Chairman Mr. Mazahir Panahov expressed his gratitude of the meeting in the eve of the Municipal Elections and spoke about the relationship between the supreme election bodies of the two countries. Commission Chairman underlined the importance given to the relationship with the supreme election bodies of many different countries by the organization led by him.

In his turn, Mr. Oleg Didenko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine also thanked for the invitation and friendly welcome and noted that the first visit of the Ukrainian CEC in new composition was made to Azerbaijan. Later, Mr. Oleg Didenko inquired about the latest preparations for the Municipal Elections. Chairman Mr. M.Panahov replied to his colleague’s questions and informed thoroughly on the steps put for ensuring citizens’ active and passive election rights efficiently in the country.

During the meeting the exchange of views was held on the issues on the perspectives of developing the cooperation between the supreme election bodies further and issues of mutual interest.
