On December 19, 2019, Mr. Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission and Mr. Ramin Guluzadeh, Minister of Transport, Communication and High Technologies examined technical supervision center on webcams at the Commission premises. CEC Chairman and Minister of Transport, Communication and High Technologies got familiarized with the final preparation works in connection with the installation of webcams that are of special importance in ensuring transparency in elections and provided their recommendations to implement the process effectively in comply with the requirements of the election legislation.

It is worth noting that all enecessary steps have been put for the conduct of free, fair and transparent Municipal elections on December 23, 2019. Local and international observers, as well as, the representatives of the mass media are full facilitated to function freely and inependently throughout the whole election process. Alongside with all other means, the effective usage of the latest improvements allows to monitor the E-day processes from the beginning till the end, thereby observing incessantly and ensuring transparency further.

The practice of applying the practice of webcams for already more than 11 years in Azerbaijan which allows monitoring the voting process through internet lively without visiting the polling station are planned to be continued also in the current Municipal Elections. The installation, regulation and other technical parameters of webcams are always focused on to guarantee their effective and incessant broadcasting access via the webcams which have been installed in 1000 polling stations (approximately 20 %) covering the whole territory of the country to observe directly processes in full capacity in the election precincts. Internet users will be facilitated to observe the voting process, vote counting and determination of the results on the voting day either in the country or abroad through the CEC official website without any requirement of registration directly and continuously.
