Central Election Commission starts professional courses on election right
Regarding
the "National activity Program in the field of increasing the efficiency of
protecting human rights and freedoms in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, approved
by Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated 27 December 2011 in the
part on its execution by election commissions, the Central Election Commission
(CEC) starts professional courses on election right in capital town Baku and
regions from October 15 within the educational project for lower election
commissions. The courses targeting the awareness-raising of members of lower
election commissions on different fields of Municipal Elections will encompass
secretaries, members of Constituency Election Commissions and chairpersons of
Precinct Election Commissions. According to the study program, the CEC
representatives, Con.EC chairpersons, as well as officials of local executive
authorities, judiciary, and prosecutor’s offices and police bodies will make
presentations and hold discussions on different topics at the courses.
Professional
courses on election right which is the large-scale project of awareness-raising
are scheduled to last for 3 days and end on October 17.
