Question: How to vote in the case of impossibility to visit the polling station on E-Day due to health or other valid reasons?

Answer: Pursuant to Article 105 of the Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the citizens unable to visit the polling station on E-Day due to health or other valid reasons are entitled to vote with a mobile ballot boxoutside the voting booth. A person intending to vote outside the voting booth shall appeal in written or virtual form themselves or by another person to the relevant Precinct Election Commission at least 24 hours to the E-Day. On E-Day at least 2 PEC members shall carry the mobile ballot box with the participation of observers, thus ensuring the right to participate in the voting.

Answer: The Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan requires marking a voter’s thumb with an invisible ink.
