The Central Election Commission (CEC) conducted a session chaired by Mr.Mazahir Panahov on August 27, 2016. Firstly, the session minute of the Commission dated August 20, 2016 was approved.

Later, the issues on the verification of commission members with consultative right of the "Civil Society” and "Municipality” referendum campaign groups at CEC, as well as the registration of authorized representatives and agents of the foregoing campaign groups in the nationwide voting (referendum) on September 26, 2016 was discussed at the session. The Commission adopted decisions on the verification of the commission members with consultative right, also on the registration of the authorized representatives and agents nominated by the above-mentioned campaign groups.

At the CEC session, the issue on the registration of "Republic” referendum campaign group in the nationwide voting (referendum) on September 26, 2016 was also considered and a relevant decision was adopted upon the discussions held by the Commission members with the participation of interested parties.

The structures of some Constituency Election Commissions were made amendments at the CEC session.

Current issues were also considered at the session attended by the representatives of mass media.
