The delegation led by Vladimir Churov, Chairman of Russian Central Election Commission who are on official visit in the Republic of Azerbaijan to monitor the Elections to the Milli Majlis in the country met with Chairman Mazahir Panahov at the Central Election Commission (CEC) on October 31, 2015.

After the welcoming his Russian partner Vladimir Churov and other members of the delegation, CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov expressed his gratitude of the close cooperation between the superior election institutes of these two countries, which had been developing year by year. Chairman also emphasized that inter-organizational relations and bilateral practice exchange played an important role in the development of the election experience and electoral system.

Vladimir Churov, Chairman of Russian Central Election Commission thanked for the invitation to observe the elections and warm welcome, also expressed his gratitude of visiting the country again and meeting at the Central Election Commission. CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov stated that Azerbaijan voters had been fully provided with free access to independent voting by visiting polling stations to express their will.

During the meeting they also shared ideas on the perspectives to develop the partnership between the organizations further and other issues of mutual interest.
