The members of the observation mission of Turkish Council who are on official visit in the Republic of Azerbaijan to monitor the Elections to the Milli Majlis on November 1 of this year met with Chairman Mazahir Panahov at the Central Election Commission (CEC) on October 29, 2015.

CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov expressed his gratitude of the meeting with the representatives of the Turkic speaking countries upon welcoming the delegation and also underlined the special importance given to the partnership with international organizations by the organization headed by him, thereby stating that local and international community had always shown great interest to the elections in Azerbaijan.

Members of the delegation thanked for warm welcome at the Central Election Commission and were interested in the latest preparation works towards the Elections to the Milli Majlis to be held some days later. CEC Chairman replied to the visitors’ questions thoroughly and informed on all the opportunities to conduct these elections under free, fair and transparent atmosphere.

During the meeting they also shared opinions on the issues of mutual interest.
