Mr.Robert Cekuta, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of USA in Azerbaijan met with Mr.Mazahir Panahov, chairman of Central Election Commission on October 15, 2015.

CEC chairman greeted guest and expressed his gratitude. He spoke of relation between USA embassy in our country and the organization chaired by him and noted that this cooperation play important role in handed gains and achievement of the present development level in improvement of the election practice.

USA ambassador, Robert Cekuta expressed his gratitude for sincere reception. Noting the importance of elections for our country he interested with implemented works in connection with the Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the current year. At the same time, the ambassador interested with voting of migrants voters and noted the importance of works implemented by CEC in organization of voting for voters of this tribe. CEC chairman, Mr. Mazahir Panahov answered the questions of guest and spoke of considered projects and steps that will be made for guaranty of citizens’ election rights, wide-ranging events as well as election legislation of our country, activity principles of election commission in connection with the Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan on November 1, 2015.

The exchange of views on matters of mutual interests and possible perspectives of cooperation in various fields between bodies were implemented in the meeting.
