The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) compiled "Election Day Guide” with the aim of awareness-raising of election stakeholders in the Elections to the Milli Majlis appointed to November 1, 2015.

The goal in the implementation of the project and compilation of the booklet is to provide the members of Precinct Election Commissions with detailed information on the E-day procedures.

The introduction of the guidebook contains the address of Mr.Mazahir Panahov, CEC Chairman to the members of Precinct Election Commissions. In his address CEC Chairman reminds of great responsibility of Precinct Election Commissions in the conduct of the Elections to the Milli Majlis, which is an important public and political event in the country history, in line with the Constitution and Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and also, wishes success to them in high-level preparation and free and fair conduct of the elections.

The booklet thoroughly clarifies the roles and duties of the members of Precinct Election Commissions, opening of the polling station, activities during voting hours, and closing of the polling station, vote counting and completing final voting results protocols.

The guidebook has been compiled in comply with the provisions enshrined in the Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and instructions, comments and rules adopted by CEC.

"Election Day Guide” is available from the lower election commissions, as well as, the CEC official website (www.msk.gov.az).
