The delegation led by Mr.Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Republic of Uzbekistan to observe the Presidential elections on March 29, 2015.

Mr.Panahov met with Mr.Gulomjon Ibragimov, Deputy Minister of Uzbekistan, Mr.Sarvar Otomuradov, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, his Uzbek colleague and other officials during the visit upon the invitation by Mr.Mirza-Ulugbek Abdulsalomov, CEC Chairman of Uzbekistan. The sides noted expansion of relations between the two countries in all fields, including deepening of close cooperation between the organizations, exchange of experience and views on the issues of mutual interest.

The delegation observed the elections in the election precincts of capital city of Dashkend and Samarkand on the Election Day and left the Republic of Uzbekistan on March 30, 2015.
