10.4% of Azerbaijani voters cast ballots in municipal elections as of 10:00

The voter turnout in municipal elections in Azerbaijan makes up 10.4% as of 10:00, the chief of the CEC`s information center Rufat Gulmammadov said.

He mentioned that 501,254 voters of 4, 819 382 have cast their ballots till 10:00. "The top election district with the highest turnout was Berde constituency No93 (16,3%). The lowest voter turnout was recorded in Terter constituency N95 (4,3%).

25 appeals were submitted to the CEC as of 10:00 related to getting some information. So far, no violation of law has been observed”, he said.

The polling stations opened at 08.00.

The voting will last till 19.00.

Information about voter turnout will be posted on the website of the Central Elections Commission five times a day at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00, 17:00 and 19:00.

37,077 candidates are running in the municipal elections. 15,035 members will be elected to 11,607 municipalities.

18,790 of them are members of 30 parties. 18,289 of them are non-party candidates. 8 political parties are participating in the elections.
