On 29 August 2013, members of OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission led by Tana de Zulueta met with Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of Central Election Commission. CEC Chairman greeted the visitors, underlined the importance given by him to the assessment of election results and expressed his gratitude of meeting OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission in Azerbaijan.

The head of the mission thanked for warm greeting and stated that they would observe both the pre-election atmosphere and the voting day. She asked CEC Chairman to give information on the activities undertaken with regard to the preparations of Presidential elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan scheduled to 9 October 2013.


M.Panahov provided detailed information on the activity of the Commission and the implemented works and replied to the visitors’ questions.
