Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov

Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC) conducted its session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on September 19, 2008.
Firstly, Mr. Natig Mammadov, CEC Secretary reported on the registration of the agents of Mr. Fazil Mustafayev whose candidacy to presidency has been registered. CEC adopted decision on the registration of these persons.

Later, the issue on the appointment of a member having consultative right at the CEC by "Boyuk Gurulush” ("Great Order”) Party was considered. CEC decided to appoint Mr. Ibrahim Umud oghlu Mammadov as a member having consultative right at the CEC.
Commission adopted decision on the approval of the "Rules for the accreditation of the organizations conducting "exit-poll” in elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

CEC made amendments in the composition of Surakhani second Con.EC # 31.
At the session, current issues were also considered.

At the CEC session, members of OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission, representatives of OSCE Baku office, representation of Secretary General of the European Council in Azerbaijan, embassy of Great Britain, International Foundation for Election Systems, International Republican Institute and mass media also took part.
